中国自十九世纪中叶，被外国强列的坚船利炮打开闭关自守的大门后，逐渐沦为成半殖民地半封建社会。期间无数有名或无名的英雄好汉舍生忘死，甚至牺牲性命，或是除暴安良，或是抗敌救国，演绎出各种英雄事迹。。A man is falsely convicted of the murder of his wife. During his time in jail, he finds comfort from four women with whom he corresponds. After his second court appearance, he is finally freed from prison only to be framed for yet 2 more murders which he did not commit. With the help of his former prison guard, he once again sets out to clear his name.。
